In this study twenty-three biblical reasons validating the application of the year-day principle to the time periods in the apocalyptic prophecies of Daniel and Revelation have been reviewed. These lines of evidence have been divided into three main categories covering the spectrum of thought from the more general or least specific to the most specific reasons. In the category of the more general reasons it was noted that the historicist interpretation of these prophecies provides a more
